'Cup of Coffee' is one of Lush's newest face masks, and I was excited to try it out. With the main ingredients being agave syrup & coffee beans, this mask smells as delicious as it leaves your skin feeling.
I started with the 150g small container for $10.95. Since there is enough for about 20 uses in here, the price is certainly reasonable. Instructions are easy enough. Smear onto dry, clean skin. Let sit for 5-10 minutes, rinse/scrub off.
I really enjoyed this! Often, face masks leave my skin feeling tight, irritated and dried out. Sometimes, they downright burn and I have to wash them off within minutes of putting them on. But! This is rarely the case with Lush masks, and is one of the main reasons that I love the company so much.
'Cup o' Coffee' was no exception. The mask itself is quite goopy, and goes on fairly easily-- though I have to admit, it truly does look like poo. Aside from it's hilariously bad looks- I really enjoyed applying this product! Rubbing the rough coffee grounds across my skin & into the corners of my nose was wonderfully exfoliating, without feeling like I was stripping my skin of everything it had.
I first attempted to rinse using my bathroom sink-- but quickly discovered that that was NOT working. I was getting bits of coffee grounds absolutely everywhere. So, into the shower I went, where I didn't need to worry about the mess quite so much. My skin was left feeling smooth, clean, & invigorated all morning.
Over all, I'd give this mask 4/5 Stars. The price is definitely bang on. The natural ingredient list is gentle and calming. It smells great, and left my skin feeling great. But, because it's a bit of a messy hassle to wash off, I'll deduct one star. This is a great mask to treat yourself to on a lazy Saturday morning. Thanks for another great mask, Lush!!
